POTTSTOWN PA – Pep Boys, the automotive services and goods retailer that operates a store on Shoemaker Road in Pottstown PA, and five others within a 20-mile radius, has expanded by buying Florida Tire, an Orlando-based chain with 10 locations, the company said Tuesday (Oct. 13, 2009) in a press release. The $4.35 million deal is expected to close Oct. 30 (2009; Friday).
Philadelphia-based Pep Boys said it expects to open up to 25 new service and tire centers during fiscal 2009; 40 in 2010, and 80 in 2011.
